BCM643 - Grav-lift battle x2 with ten Marines
(7:45) Level 3 ('The Truth and Reconciliation') on Legendary. My latest pair of grav-lift battles with ten Marines includes something unusual in the second fight. The covie dropship turns up late! Also it arrives with only three passengers; but it did start with four. Lots of sniping in this movie!

Commentary
00:02 (Sniping above the supply area) In the last movie I did some battling in the supply area, manning a Shade. This time I'm up on the perimeter above, doing a lot of sniping but occasionally using my plasma rifle. Goes pretty well until the Hunters turn up and start sending in fuel rod shots!
I didn't hear Stacker die, but I don't think he survived this one. For some reason he was out in the open around 2:11, though he seemed to survive the immediate attack he was under.
03:44 (Sniping & plasma fire, moving around) This is a late replacement for the play I had here originally. That one featured a very early snipe of a dropship Grunt, a key reason I'd wanted to feature it. But there was also a terrible grenade throw that bugged me (an over-throw in a moment of wildness), so I decided to do some fresh plays along similar lines, that likewise contained an early Grunt snipe. This one fitted the bill, and also featured the dropship being late for a change, only turning up after wave 2. I haven't shown a late dropship arrival before, nor is there one in the six battles queued up for release, so I was glad to be able to show that possibility at last.
However, the arrival of the first wave takes me by surprise as I was expecting the dropship, and from then on it's almost like I'm playing catch-up with events. Things get quite messy and I also run short of grenades, but never mind. At least I wipe out the final wave with a frag. Chain reaction on the platform!
As you may've noticed, around 6:30 I almost got fragged by a Marine. But I did shoot one of them in the back earlier, so fair's fair I guess.
Pretty sure there were two Stackers in this fight, as I didn't hear Johnson at all.
Closing remarks In regard to the dropship turning up after wave 2, I did have it turn up that late once before (and also it's come after wave 1, which I think is more common though still unusual), but I don't recall ever having it come later than that.
Three more battle movies to come!
