BCM641 - Grav-lift battle x2 with ten Marines
(8:36) Level 3 ('The Truth and Reconciliation') on Legendary. In the first of these grav-lift battles with ten Marines, I showcase a favourite old sniping rock. Then there's an extended AR-based hold-out up a hill, which was especially enjoyable.

00:02 (Sniping on a rock) Long ago this rock was one of my favourite sniping perches, so after six movies of battling, I thought it was high time I gave it a showing. There are two Stackers in this battle, and a nice final grenade around 2:43, wiping out wave 7. Mind you, some of my sniping was rather wild in this play, starting with making a complete mess of targeting the dropship troops. I remember feeling slightly rushed for that; I only just got up onto my perch in time.
03:45 (AR hold-out in the blade corner) I've especially been looking forward to showing this battle. It illustrates a way of tackling things quite different to what I've shown previously. Me and the boys stand back at moderate distance and basically let the covies come to us, where they meet a wall of AR fire. I deliberately don't use wave anticipation grenades, and the first three waves don't even get the grenade treatment at all. Plus I'm keeping to the AR. All this makes for a relatively long battle, with the AR fire going on and on.
It's actually about a minute longer than typical (hence the longer length of the movie), but it was a really enjoyable plan. I definitely want to do more battling with this sort of approach.
Something you may've noticed. I risked an AR burst during the 'stealth' phase and actually got away with it. It didn't alert the covies sufficiently to trigger a Marine advance.
Closing remarks Another two battles coming next, including a Shade play! And I've got a further four battle movies waiting after that.
