BCM692 - Cubby-hole Grunt, swimming after settling
(5:25) Level 5 ('Assault on the Control Room') on Heroic. Something I wondered was, once the cubby-hole Grunt is dead and his body is settled, is it still possible to get him 'swimming'? A certain amount of blasting ensued.

Commentary
00:02 (Via tag & needles) Here, and in much of the movie, I'm using the same set-up as in the previous movie, featuring a red fin-back (with no other Grunts around). This first example gives swimming as a result of a tag plus some needles. It's not the first ever case I got, by the way. That was actually back on the 11th.
00:54 (High left via tag) This time the job is done by just a tag, and the Grunt ends up in an unusual position compared to what's been seen in my earlier movies. He's up high, and to the left.
01:46 (High left via rocket) Here's the first of four clips using a different set-up, featuring an orange curl-back for variety. The set-up is namely a simple modification of the one featured in the latter part of BCM689 (I added a rocket launcher). There are other Grunts present, adding to the atmosphere. This clip is the only one in the movie where I get the swimming with a rocket. Getting it via rocketing seems relatively hard.
02:20 (Via needling) Simply used needles this time.
02:34 (Via tagging, but quickly ending) I twice get swimming here, but it quickly ends each time. Mysterious.
02:56 (More trouble, and something weird) Here's another case of swimming quickly breaking down, but there's something else which I find much more intriguing. I do three tags here. Just after the second bang, the Grunt moves up and starts swimming. But he wasn't jerked up by the bang. There's a clear delay between the bang and his movement, and the movement is not sudden, it's progressive. It looks for all the world like he gets pulled up, or perhaps pushed up. But by what, I have no idea. This is the only time I can recall seeing a dynamic like this. Top marks if you noticed it!
Actually, I've now noticed that there's similar weirdness with the final plasma bang in the previous clip. The body takes about a fifth of a second before it starts moving. I didn't pick up on that before.
03:15 (Via needling) A straightforward needling job this time.
03:32 (Via tag) My rocketing wasn't working here, but I finally got him with a tag, before bringing him back down again with some needling.
04:02 (High left via tag & needles) Another high left job, obtained using a tag and needles.
04:13 (Via tag) Got it with just a tag this time.
Closing remarks As mentioned in a caption, getting swimming like this isn't easy. It tends to take perseverance. I had to put in quite a few hours of play to build up a decent number of examples from which to build the movie.
