Okay, now we're really getting into it with the new set-up!

(7:57) Level 2 ('Halo') on Heroic. Continuing with the set-up created in the last movie, here are another three plays, using three of my favourite battle plans and various weapons.

00:02 (Play 1 - Top pass defence) For this top pass defence I allow myself the luxury of chain-gun support, and also take the time to get the seat passenger out. Hey, maybe he'll be useful and throw a frag! Things go fine and we never get into serious trouble.

02:22 (Play 2 - Plateau base defence) Things are a bit more hectic for this plateau base defence. Again I let the gunner stay aboard to have some fun, and actually I leave the seated passenger where he is too. After a while I pick up a plasma rifle, and later also add some plasma pistol use.

I especially enjoy the grenade work, although I miss a close tag around 3:35 after chasing a blue Elite around the rather large central rock (it's not always that large by the way). At the end, we go and slay the dropship 4 Elite too.

04:43 (Play 3 - Far area defence) Finally, a far area defence, and deliberately without chain-gun support this time. I initially focus on pistol work (this is arguably the best battle scenario in the game for that), but later pick up a needler to add some pink explosions. That was just in time to deal with a red Elite who'd just started zapping me from behind. He didn't last long.

The Aussie gets unexpectedly blasted in an incident around 7:04, apparently failing to get clear of a Grunt plasma, which I think got deflected high by a needle bang. A pity. Still, he did well to at least survive that long. I did quite a lot of plays for this slot in the movie, and usually he got killed pretty quick.
