BCM632 - Rockslide megabattle, hit and run x3 with lots of sniping
(7:52) Level 2 ('Halo') on Heroic. In my final hit and run rockslide megabattle movie for the time being, I've managed to squeeze in three relatively fast plays. Two focus on sniping, including use of a novel high perch and even a spot of chain-gun support. And in the middle, there's a plasma rampage to enjoy.

Commentary
00:02 (Play 1 - Sniper rifle & pistol) My plan for the start of this play was to get covies chasing me though a narrow gap, and to amusingly tag at least one as he came through. In fact I tag a red Elite on this occasion, and the blast also kills a blue, who foolishly stands around watching the fizzing plasma. Perfect! Sniping takes care of three more Elites not long after; so all in all, that was a good start.
02:39 (Play 2 - Plasma rampage) As an interlude between all the sniping, here's a nice 'plasma rampage', using plasma weapons and quite a lot of tagging. The central area is great for this sort of thing. I'd say the best phase starts around 3:36, when I begin stunning and tagging a succession of three Elites, and also (after the first two Elites) wipe out a cluster of Jackals that was was just screaming for a well-placed frag.
05:00 (Play 3 - Sniper rifle & pistol, plus chain-gun support) For this play I planned two special features. Firstly, brief use of a high perch; a perch mentioned on my inner rise defence page but not previously featured in my movie series. I retreat back down before long, as things start to get hot. And secondly I wanted to feature some chain-gun support using the plateau guy. We do pretty well, though I have to move the hot sharpish when a grunty grenade sails in around 6:25!
Closing remarks Well, this hit and run business has been a load of fun, and I definitely expect to return to it for some more movies sometime. Coming up next though, something new!
