BCM508 - First ground battle, Ghost squad battling

(7:45) Level 5 ('Assault on the Control Room') on Heroic. Here's my third and final trio of Ghost squad battles using the set-up seen created in BCM505. This time I include a play in which the Wraith is left for last, plus I bring in a bit of Banshee use!

Commentary

00:02 (Play 1 - Banshee opening, Wraith finale) With the Banshee being handy at the door, I thought I'd give it a bit of use. I blitz the forward covies with it, before taking a Ghost ride to get back to my Ghost, leaving that other one for the Marines to board. A second novelty is that the Wraith is left for last, an option not previously featured.

02:34 (Play 2 - Retreat trigger, slope hangout) Here I again do a 'slope hangout' (having done one in the previous movie), and this time the Wraith amusingly kills the Shade gunner. Another bit of comical friendly fire comes around 3:56 when the Wraith takes out a cluster of three Jackals.

04:54 (Play 3 - Gunplay added) The gunplay theme makes a return, as I briefly use the Banshee to do a weapons grab. I enjoy some quick sniping before firing up my Ghost.

After blowing up the Wraith with my rocket launcher, there's a slight mishap around 6:45 when a Marine decides to dive into the path of my Ghost. But aside from that, things seem to be going well.

Moving to the last two Jackals, I rocket one of them high and watch him as he arcs over my head, then I finish the other, who's hiding behind a rock. A nice victory - until a Marine Ghost cruises in and splatters one of the foot troops. Doh!

Closing remarks Okay, that concludes my use of this set-up. But there's other Ghost squad battling coming up in a while, so keep an eye out.
