BCM312 - Freakiness and fun, assorted clips

(5:32) Various levels and difficulties. My 24th 'freakiness and fun' compilation shows 15 freaky or amusing incidents, most of which occurred while recording footage for my usual movies - so you may recognize some of the situations.

Released October 9th 2018, gameplay recorded 2015-2018.

Commentary

00:02 (Turbulent air) In the course of flipping the dropship to get the turret detached, my Banshee takes a hefty kick. For fun I then make a charging attack on the dropship, and get bounced away. February 2015 footage from when I was recording for BCM126. Level 5, Heroic.

00:21 (In da face) I don't think this plasma tagged me, because (a) it moves around and (b) it doesn't kill me (a tag would've killed me). I believe it hit the launcher and is simply stationary in mid-air. I may do a movie about this phenomenon later on. Incidentally, the title 'In da face' comes from the Grunt line. April 2017 footage from when I was recording for BCM229. Level 5, Heroic.

00:37 (Tail-swiped) Two Banshees have started wandering and are still quite high, but they spot me and turn to attack. I tag the first, but my second throw narrowly misses and I get tail-swiped. Not a good look for a cyborg. The pilot chuckles. June 2018 footage. Level 2, Heroic.

00:55 (Loose load) This Pelican descent ride doesn't turn out too well. Poor bailing leaves the Banshee bouncing around on top, moving my way, and I get splattered. June 2016 footage from when I was recording for BCM190. Level 5, Heroic.

01:20 (Turret cover) Oldest clip in the movie. Here I'm playing about with a detached turret and a lone Grunt. He hits the turret with a bit of plasma fire and says "Move!", which I thought was amusing. This also indicates that the Grunt considers the turret an ally, just like a fellow covie. He's talking to it the same way. January 2015 footage. Level 5, Heroic.

01:41 (Pilot pop-out) Nice pilot ejection here. I was just enjoying watching that, but then the Banshee splatters me. Bit of a shock! August 2015 footage from when I was recording for BCM155. Level 2, Legendary.

02:01 (Grunt club) Here's some fun with a Grunt stack, in which I'm cloaked and make the Grunts jump. There was a similar sort of clip at the start of BCM218, but here we've got Grunts only. Plenty of Jackals had spawned, but they'd moved away by now. May 2015 footage. Level 3, Normal.

02:44 (Switcheroo) As I head out into the valley to stealthily approach two low circling Banshees (which you can hear), I mess up the driving and get ejected. I reboard in mid-air, but now I'm on the chain-gun! July 2018 footage. Level 2, Heroic.

02:57 (Roof goof) While trying to get the enemy pilot ejected by making his Banshee scrape the invisible wall (up on the roof of the ship), I get ejected myself, and get promptly squished - causing much amusement for the Elite. February 2016 footage from when I was recording for BCM171. Level 10, Easy.

03:11 (Arch enemy) In BCM126 I got this detached turret onto a bridge arch, then got a checkpoint and made attempts at ramming it high. On this occasion it disappears from view, but I soon find out where it's gone. It got freakily bumped inside the arch! I manage to ram it out though. February 2015 footage from when I was recording for BCM126. Level 5, Heroic.

03:49 (Jungle trek) I reckon this beaky fool thinks he's lost in a jungle or something. Dude, you're walking into a tree! I eventually give him a shock and tag him - although my first throw misses and I end up taking the tag blast. August 2018 footage from when I was recording for BCM302. Level 2, Easy.

04:12 (Missing wall) This force-launch gets me onto a dome panel, but when I attempt to melee the invisible wall at the top of the panel, I hit nothing and fall off. I think I must've freakily been outside the wall - though it doesn't really look like it. July 2017 footage from when I was recording for BCM251 or BCM252. Level 5, Heroic.

04:34 (Long lost friends) Something I mentioned in my Wandering Banshees article is that wanderers sometimes meet up and briefly swirl around one another. I didn't cover that in my six movie sequence on that topic, but this is a typical example. July 2018 footage. Level 2, Heroic.

04:56 (Spoke too soon Stacker) At the start of a rockslide megabattle here, Stacker yells "Who's laughing now?", but I guess he tempted fate. A Grunt tags the hog and that's the end of us. I get blown sky-high. This also illustrates the danger of ploughing into Grunts, fun though it is. April 2018 footage. Level 2, Heroic.

05:09 (No cyborg, no helmet) In this heavily overloaded situation (hence the slowdown), I'm killed and my body instantly vanishes. A Grunt wants my helmet. You're welcome to it if you can find it grunty! Incidentally, notice how there's still the sound of blood pounding in my head even after my death. Was that due to the overloading? July 2015 footage from when I was recording for BCM151. Level 3, Normal.

Closing remarks Hey, didn't we have one of these movies just a month ago? Yes, but I still had a load of spare footage cluttering up my hard drive after that, so here's another to let me clear some. There's quite a bit of relatively old footage this time. Six episodes from 2015.
